The calculator uses stored, source-cited wedding benchmarks, published regional totals, user-entered costs, and stored approximate currency conversions. It uses ordinary application code—never an AI calculation per visitor.

Source-backed U.S. benchmarks come from The Knot's 2026 report on couples married in 2025. The limited Canadian benchmark comes from RBC's 2026 wedding-budget guide. Stored currency rates use the European Central Bank's September 25, 2026 reference rates.

Where reliable local data is not stored, the calculator labels the scenario as a planning-range placeholder rather than presenting it as a market quote. Travel figures are only added when you enter them; they are not live airfare or hotel prices.
